Worked with Bramble Berries shave and a haircut fragrance oil two days ago. First let me say some great things about this fragrance oil. It has a safe usage rate of 100 percent in soap. Which is overall magnificent love to use fragrance oils with this value. Overall scent throw is also good. I used a trial size sample which is 0.5oz in my test soap mold which is one pound. That comes out to a usage rate of 3.125% so it has good throw.
Now to my issue. It has been 38 hours and the soap still isn't ready to unmold. This is unusual for this particular recipe since it's is designed to move fast and be a very hard bar of soap. According to soap calc the hardness of this bar should be 48. This isn't surprising again I designed it that way. I have unmolded this recipe in a room with a sustainable temp of 50 degrees Fahrenheit after ten hours and had zero unmolding issues.
To be honest I don't use Bramble Berries fragrances often enough to know if this is a common issue. I did however use a second fragrance oil from them yesterday night. Night violet it is one of the many flower fragrances that I am testing to find one I like. The throw in the soap is minimal to be honest but again I am using a trial size so I'm using it at a usage rate of 3.125% so it might be stronger at a higher usage rate. Of course my point is I encountered the same issue. I'm not sure. Any views?
